Between lectures, assignments and research it's important for us to lift our heads up and ask ourselves "What can we do to help?". This is a good-faith fundraising competition between the 31 colleges of the University of Cambridge to help the local community in a concrete way.
All proceeds will go to Wintercomfort, which has been helping those in need of shelter, food and clothes in the Cambridge area for over 30 years.
Rules: Each college will have 2 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate representative FundRacers who will be responsible for fundraising on behalf of their college. The main competition is decided by which college raises the most funds, with some fun incentives for other goals along the way.
Donations: To make sure everyone can participate, we would love to see donation sizes of £1–£10. Of course, feel free to donate more if you can!

Who? We're two University of Cambridge students who wanted to channel the natural rivalry between colleges into something benefitting the local community.
Why? Both of us did an undergrad in Dublin, where the issue of homelesness is also impossible to ignore. We believe students can have a huge impact if we make the effort.
🔒 Neither organiser has access to donated funds. All funds go directly to Wintercomfort.

Thank you for getting on board with this fantastic fundraising challenge!
Working within our community is a huge aspect of what Wintercomfort does, gaining awareness and support from our city to help us to fulfil our essential welfare provision and supporting services to help us to empower people rebuild their lives beyond homelessness and to achieve long-term, positive change in their lives.
